Shipment Tracking

This is the act of enquiring about the whereabouts of a shipment online by keying in the airway bill number of the shipment on the courier companies website. The resultant effect of this is the display of a report showing a trail of the shipment as it moves from one point (or checkpoint) to the other.

Shipment Bagging

This functionality allows all shipment being dispatched by a driver to be bagged or batched. With batching, tracking information for all shipment within the batch is reflected automatically when a checkpoint activity is completed per batch.

Configurable Checkpoints

Here, the courier company has the ability to select the number of checkpoints desired per delivery type. However, the minimum number of checkpoint per any delivery type is 3, that is, manifest, destination dispatch and delivery.

Electronic Waybill

This refers to the automatic generation of airway bill number which eliminates the need for airway bill booklets. The airway bill sheet can be printed out using a desktop printer connected to the computer.

Barcode Technology integration

As the frequency of shipment to be tracked increases drastically, courier companies will need to look into a more efficient and faster way of entering information into the system. The barcode technology is the solution to this. trak-it© provides a module that enables barcode generation per shipment

Automatic Dispatch Driver Selector

Drivers often are zoned based on areas they ply regularly. The process of linking a shipment to a driver is automated such that selection of the driver meant to deliver that shipment is more efficiently handled by trak-it©. This is achieved by identifying each driver and linking them to a zone; a zone being a collection of areas plied by the driver.

Corporate Tracking

Corporate customers demand for the ability to track their shipment. However, when the volumes of shipments go into 100s a day, it becomes challenging. This feature enables the corporate customers of the courier company to track all shipment at once by providing these customers their own secure login. This eliminates the entry of individual airway bill numbers to track shipment as all shipments meant for the said company are available at a single glance.

SMS Alerts

To enable customers track shipment by sending SMS to their phones. Customers receive SMS during each check point or when the shipment is delivered.

Information Checkpoints

This functionality allows users to input tracking information by overriding the pre-defined ordered access into trak-it©. This is used when an event which is meant to occur does not. For example, during direct delivery, if the shipment has not departed the airport due to circumstances beyond the courier company’s control, the customer would need to be informed of this. The information checkpoint is then used to proactively disseminate this information to the client.

Document Generation

Presently, the following documents are generated and can be printed for operational use;

  1. Airway Bill
  2. Receipts
  3. Trip sheets

Backups and Restores

All data generated by the courier company are backed up daily and can be retrieved at any time. This data are stored on our system for up to 6 months for retrieval/ restor at any time.

Upgrades and updates

The courier industry is a dynamic one, with operational requirements changing every so often. In order to capture these changes, we shall continue to make enhancement to our software. These enhancements to our software and major changes shall be provided to subscribed companies for free.
